Physical Education Grading Policy 

Body

Preparation: Worth 50% of final marking period grade
1st unprepared = 10% of grade or a 95
2nd unprepared = another 10% or a 90
3rd unprepared = another 15% or 82
4th unprepared = another 20% or 72
5th unprepared = 58 or lower
- sneakers with tied laces
- sweatpants or shorts without zippers, buttons, or beltloops
- no jewelry, gum, hats, ipods/mp3 players, or cellphones
 
Participation: Worth 12.5%- attentively taking part in the activities that the class is doing each day for the entire period
Warm-up: Worth 12.5%- actively engaging in the run, game, and stretching that precedes the main events of the class.
 
Sportsmanship: Worth 12.5%- being accountable for and following the rules, spirit, and etiquette of the activity or game which include fair play, sportsmanship, and character.
 
Classwork: Worth 12.5%- assignments that may include but are not limited to tests, quizzes, journal writing, and projects.
