Jack Wolff has been a supervisor of social studies in Hopewell Valley since 1987. Wolff began his teaching career in the Hopewell Valley schools in 1975 as a social studies teacher in the Timberlane Middle School.
Wolff’s knowledge of curriculum design has shaped the development of the social studies program in the district. His understanding, training and work with Grant Wiggins and the ideas and concepts found in Understanding by Design have served as a template for the development of the social studies curriculum. Wolff has led several district social studies curriculum reviews during his tenure in Hopewell Valley and has been influential in the development of several new courses. Among the most significant of these are International Relations and Comparative World Religions in response to state mandates and community issues.
A high school varsity basketball coach in the late 1980s, Wolff has coached and taught basketball to boys at all levels in Hopewell Valley. He also initiated the Timberlane cross country program.
He and his family reside in Falls, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
