| Rising juniors and seniors are invited to let their science teacher know if they would like to be nominated for the Cook Summer Honors Program at IUP. This program is designed for talented high school students who desire a serious academic challenge in a college setting. Those who are nominated receive preference int he merit scholarship review process. The program runs from July 8-14 and July 15-21 and includes courses in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Forensics, Journalism, Psychology, Math, Law, Physics, and Writing among others. | Intelliscience Academy is offering a program in Robotics for students in grades 5-10 to build, program, and use robotics in the classroom. The course is offered in eight weekly sessions through July and August. Classes meet each day from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at a facility in West Windsor and participants should bring a lunch. | Georgetown University offers a Summer High School that includes an eight-day Medical Institute. Students who participate will experience the use of a patient simulator, a variety of topics in the medical school curriculum, hands-on practice with several medical procedures, and a tour of the Georgetown Medical Center. (A Forensic Institute is also offered.) Four sessions will be offered throughout the summer beginning on June 24. | Middle and high school students are invited to participate in LeadAmerica Conferences that will take place in the spring and summer in a variety of locations. These conferences will help prepare middle and high school students for the transition to college during science-focused programs in Medicine & Healthcare and Engineering & Robotics. Students must be nominated by a science teacher, so if interested notify your teacher.
