teentech 2012 will take place on May 23, 2012 at The College of New Jersey.  This program offers a day of hands-on workshops that are designed to make technology, science, engineering, and math exciting and relevant and to interest girls in high-demand careers in the global economy where women are still greatly underrepresented.  High school girls in grades 9-11 are invited to attend from 8:45 am until 1:45 pm on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.  Registration is $20.00 and includes all activities, materials, breakfast, and lunch.  The registration deadline is May 10, 2012.  For more information about teentech, email JSWPAAUWNJ@aol.com.

Middle and high school students are invited to participate in LeadAmerica Conferences that will take place in the spring and summer in a variety of locations. These conferences will help prepare middle and high school students for the transition to college during science-focused programs in Medicine & Healthcare and Engineering & Robotics. Students must be nominated by a science teacher, so if interested notify your teacher. He or she should nominate you online at www.lead-america.org/educator and then you will receive information from the organization.
