Kindergarten registration for the 2012-13 school year will begin Monday, January 9th and end March 30th for parents of children anticipating entering kindergarten in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District in September 2012. Children must be five years old on or before October 1, 2012.

Registration forms may be downloaded by following the links listed at the bottom of this page, or forms may be picked up at the registrar's office, 2nd Floor, Central Administration building, 425 South Main Street, Pennington. Office hours are weekdays, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm; the office is closed from 12:30 - 1:30 pm. To register, please bring the completed registration forms, as well as proof of residency and the child's official birth certificate with a raised seal (or a copy with a raised seal), to the registrar's office. The following documents are acceptable as proof of residency: deed; lease showing signatures of both parties (dated for current school year); sales contract showing signatures of both parties, street address and stating approximate date of settlement. We will also accept the current tax bill with valid NJ driver’s license. Both the tax bill and license must have matching addresses.

Once registration has been completed, packets are given to each kindergarten parent containing information regarding the school district and additional reading material.

Appointments must be made for school visits at the time of registration and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The district will continue to offer the kindergarten extension program at each elementary school. The tuition rate for this program is $400 per month. The first ten slots in each school will be offered on a first-come, first-placed basis; the remaining eight slots will be filled via lottery if the program is oversubscribed.
