Wolff, Peterson Chosen as School Board President and V.P.
The Hopewell Valley Regional Board of Education elected Lisa Wolff as their president and Leigh Ann Peterson as their vice president in a reorganization meeting on April 23.
Ms. Wolff and Ms. Peterson, who were re-elected in the April 17 school board elections, were sworn in Monday night for another three- year term representing Hopewell Township. Jon Butler, who won his first term representing Pennington Borough, was out of town and will be sworn in later this week.
Ms. Wolff and Ms. Peterson held the president and V.P. positions on last year’s school board. The Board unanimously voted to return them to these positions for another year.
“We have a lot of positive momentum going from last year, and I look forward to continuing on that path,” said Ms. Wolff, who is a sales and marketing consultant. Ms. Wolff, who will make committee assignments this week, spearheaded the Alternative Resources Advisory Committee, which promotes non-taxpayer funded resources and collaboration with outside organizations seeking to partner with the school district. She has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Peterson, formerly a compliance officer with Barclay’s Capital Inc. in Manhattan, recently joined UBS. She chairs the board’s Negotiations Committee and is a member of the Personnel Committee.
“I am looking forward to continuing to work with my colleagues on the Board and in the Administration to provide a first-rate education to the children of Hopewell Valley,” said Ms. Peterson.
Mr. Butler has been the executive director of Pop Warner since 1991, and serves on numerous national and local boards.
