Input Requested on Before-School, After-School Programs
The Hopewell Valley Regional School District is currently requesting proposals from organizations to provide a before- and after-school program and enrichment programs for the students in our district to begin September 2012.
Attending a before- or after-school program is an important part of many children’s experience; thus, the selection process is extremely important. The district’s vision is to provide a dynamic and engaging program that, in addition to long-term before- and after-school care, will also offer short-term enrichment activities open to all.
The program that is selected will replace the two currently offered, both of which have been invited to apply. Moving to one program will offer parents consistency, increase the district’s oversight, and provide a modest source of revenue to the district.
As part of the district’s selection process, a panel is being assembled that will include parents, teachers and administrators.
